Local history in studies of series of "Lithuanian's valsčiai

The article deals with analysis of series of local history studies of "Lithuanian's valsčiai" (Ancient small-governing districts) that is included in the publishing programme of Millennium Anniversary of Lithuania, published by Publishing House "Versmė" . The purpose of the nine books published in 1998-2003 is analysed as well as number of authors of chapter of "The Past/History" and their qualifications, and also the technical parameters, structure and the major problems and perspectives of the seriesVytauto Didžiojo universitetasŠvietimo akademij
